My name is Richard Clarence Lawhorn. I am running for Mayor of the City of Knoxville as R C Lawhorn. I grew up in Knoxville Tennessee. I went to Farragut High School and I graduated in the class of 1982. Thereafter, I obtained my electronic engineering degree in 1987. I founded and own Lawhorn Contracting and hold a commercial and residential general contractor’s license in Tennessee. In addition, I also co-founded and own a high-fidelity home audio residential home theater company. Previously, I worked for Nortel Network for 15 years as a senior project manager. My duties with Nortel Network required me to run all of Florida’s fiber-optic projects, which included 165 employees, 19 Contracting companies and 1.3 billion dollars a year in contracts.

I am devoted to fixing problems in high stress situations. Knoxville needs a lot of fixing under the current administration.
